Based on our experience we have established the factors that would influence in working of a contigency or recovery plan to be of two categories that is Natural such as fire, flood, earthquake, teampest. drought etc. And man made such a strikes , Civil disturbances. Riots, Communal violence. threat etc.

Under any circumstances if normal service delivery getes interrupted like the Guard force is not able to reach there sides to perform their duty as per the irregular pattern to overcome this we have a continency plan that would help reduce the impact of such disasters.

Crisis management team

At the onset of such contingency the NWPS management would immediately put in the Crisis Management team who operate out of a Crisis Management Centre. This team comprises of various members drawn from different streams of the business and woodwork around the clock

Communications

Mobile telephony radio communication and email would provide ready and regular communication with the affected parties.

Manpower

Manpower shortages will be fulfilled from the neighbouring areas, branches, regions and higher required even other states. Guards from affected areas will be replaced with guards from other areas. All the personnels on leave will be recalled for duty.

Relief

Guards who are on duty and who cannot be relieved would be provided with food clothing and other amenities to help them stay fresh until relief can reach them.

Transportation

Special transport arrangements would be made to pick up relief shifts from their residences and drop them at their points of duty. All managers with their independent transport arrangements will be rostered to monitor shifts in their respective areas.

Accommodation

Temporary accommodation will be hired to keep the guards in position where they cannot go home and return till the crisis is over.

Public Administration Agencies

Immediate contact with the public administrative agencies such as the Police, Fire Brigade and Hospitals would be established depending on the nature of the exigency and their support sought to handle the situation. Relief measures and materials will be procured and made available at the earliest possible time.

Resumption of service

As the crisis begins to ease, services would be resumed as first as possible and all those involved in handling the crisis would be de- briefed and immediately sent on R&R for a week to refresh them before resuming their regular duties.
